Sometimes a quick errand turns into the weekend that changes everything. When my boss asks me to check out a potential rental for a work retreat on my way home for Christmas, I agree. It’s only a half hour out of my way. No big deal. Only, as an unexpected storm hits and the snow starts to fly, it becomes a very big deal. I make it to the cabins, but barely.
