A dark journey. A powerful young woman. A teacher filled with grief and madness.
As Bree begins crossing through the Shadow Mountains, she finds there are both fiends and mentors who await her. She knows that if she can make it to the other side of the range, she will find an army mobilizing to fight against the wicked sorcerer, Torin.
But Torin has other plans for her. His minions attack Bree as she travels, weakening her to the point of near death. Unknowingly, she trespasses through the lands of the giants, and while they may be able to bring her protection and a few nights of peace, they cannot fight the demons who haunt her.
Will she be able to survive long enough to reach the town of Brista where her forces await?
