In 1999, The Shop Around the Corner was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." The supporting cast included Frank Morgan, Joseph Schildkraut, Sara Haden, Felix Bressart, and William Tracy.
