Lila North doesn't have time for distractions.
Unfortunately for her, Travis Adler is a big one.

Lila is a woman who has too many responsibilities and very little time. Raising her four-year old brother on her own, ducking the persistent threat of their unstable mother, and working hard to make ends meet: Lila is exhausted and in need of help, even if she won't admit it. After running late to work one too many times, she loses her job at the worst possible moment. To make things worse, jobs in Willow Vale are as rare as they come.

Which leaves her with only one option offered by the last person she wants to see.

Enter Travis Adler: local brooding bar owner and the eldest son of the Adler family, a prominent ranching family in the town of Willow Vale. He's also Lila's ex-boyfriend, ex-best friend, ex-everything. When he finds her standing in his bar, asking for a job, he can’t refuse.

Now that Lila is in his life again after avoiding him for years, he's finding it's hard to stay away from her. But of course, Lila intends on keeping a safe distance from Travis for as long as she can. The only question is, can they stay away from each other?
